It is with sadness and a heavy heart to report the passing of Mr. Gary Hess, hockey director of the Ramapo Saints.
Gary was a kind and gentle man. Those that knew him or knew of him understood just how much he loved the game of hockey and the kids that he taught and coached throughout the years. He was always an easy going guy, willing to help whenever and however he could. I can attest to this as I have known him since I was a kid. This is a loss not just for our friends at the Ramapo Saints, but all of hockey in the vicinity.
Unfortunately, the game of hockey has lost one of it's keepers, his wife a loving husband, his daughter a great dad, and I like many, a dear friend... On behalf of the entire hockey community here at West Point, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. -John Barnard
